The Account Director oversees strategic client relationships to ensure our solutions achieve the desired business results. As an Account Director, you deepen and expand client relationships by challenging our clients to think “outside the box” to create the best possible outcomes. You partner with delivery teams tocreate andpresent learning solutions and proposals. In addition to managing client expectations and budgets, you support the Unboxed Sales, Delivery, & Product teams in management of resources, timelines, and sales goals. Your proficiency in account management practices, ability to inspire followership in highly diversified teams, and Learning & Development thought-leadership creates exceptional client experiences and enables you to grow client accounts year-over-year.

We have organized the critical skills required to be a successful Account Director into four key areas:

  1. Results Focused – the ability and desire to deliver prompt results and achieve goals


  • Providing strategic oversight and vision to a client project including thought-leadership and advice, challenging status quo, and aligning multiple senior-level leaders to reach a decision.
  • Leading strategic meetings by establishing an agenda, defining roles and responsibilities, steering the conversation to gain alignment, and communicating desired outcomes.
  • Leading quarterly business reviews with clients by highlighting achievements using data and strategic insights, establishing a vision of future deliverables and achievements, and gaining buy-in and support to grow the account.
  • Developing strategy to grow client accounts by actively networking and connecting dots to other sell-in opportunities.
  • Regularly meet and exceed revenue goals, analyzing other KPI’s and reporting out metrics to stakeholders.
  • Leading and collaborating with the Unboxed Executive Team and Delivery Teams to create strategic proposals, presentations, and SOWs for clients.
  • Updating the CRM and ensuring stakeholders are aware of changes within client accounts.
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time to visit clients on site (overnight required)


  • Ability to inspire followership while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to use strategic questioning to gain a comprehensive understanding of the nature of the client’s business and needs.
  • Ability to drive both the strategy and execution of initiatives to meet goals
  • Must be meticulously organized, with high attention to detail, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in sales tools, know your way around software like HubSpot, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and others
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and can write clear and concise content, and engage your audience with new business presentations
  • Have a clear understanding of acronyms and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry. Other industry expertise is a bonus.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing enterprise accounts in a services-based company.
  • 5+ years’ experience achieving sales/growth targets within enterprise accounts.
  • 2+ years in pharmaceutical experience
