Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Director, Market Access Training, the Manager, Market Access Training will be responsible for creating a learning environment that challenges associates to elevate skills and produce results. Through a coordinated effort with the Commercial Training and Development Team, as well as Sales, Marketing, and the Market Access/Trade & Institutional Sales Teams, they will focus on the development of market access content including tools that support brand strategies. They will help to plan, organize and facilitate training courses and be responsible for implementing and maintaining Commercial Training & Development initiatives.
 
Responsibilities  

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and training leadership to assess, design and deliver training solutions to meet the objectives identified.
  • Coach, teach, and execute reimbursement training programs at new account manager level, national meetings, regional meetings, and other events.
  • Assist field account managers in ongoing development by providing interactive content
  • Evaluate classroom curriculum and work with training leadership to keep market access training current and relevant for the field.
  • Stay current with training trends by attending professional meetings and trainer development events.
  • Suggest solutions that align with the strategic priorities of the overall organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Examples: business, education, or related field)
  • Minimum of 2 years of market access related experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing related experience required (Some training experience preferred)
  • Strong grasp of the pharmaceutical market access and payer market 
  • Comfort presenting/speaking to groups of people
  • Possess strong computer skills, including a sophisticated knowledge of web-based applications and multimedia / video technologies
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Project management experience with attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple external vendors preferred
  • Understanding of adult learning philosophies preferred
  • Ability to perform in high pressure and fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
